    Man, that’s crazy! I never thought it would come down to it being used as the switch character (which I assume is the arguments for a program?). That’s cool how you can use the / character in a path anyway!

    I’ve always wondered why was used instead of /, so kudos on linking the article.

    I never realized that it had to do with the switch character being / instead of -, but that makes sense when you consider most command switches are still start with /; even though I’ve seen a lot of other switches like + pop up on windows.
