I want to learn linux commands on windows platform (without the requirement of linux OS). I had a software but i forgot the name, can please help getting that similar kind of functionality.

If you want native solution, then Cygwin is the best. It allows you to configure and install only those applications that you want.
There are Unix-like utilities you can run under Windows, but the easiest way is to download a Linux Live CD and run it. You’ll be running Linux without changing anything in your computer (it boots from the CD and runs in RAM). So you’ll have real Linux and full access to the help commands and the man pages. (And internet access if you want to search for help.)
The best idea for that is to create a Live CD, which you can download off the internet. Let’s you boot Linux from your CD drive, with no modification to your computer required. Also does not touch your hard drive, but gives you a complete working Linux OS.
